See the highlights of Florence

Your guise will meet you at the hotel for a three hour walking tour of Florence. The center of Florence will be the spectacular frame of a tour dedicated to the city's glorious past and also to its stimulating present life. The slow paced walking tour will introduce you to the most important monuments of Florence. Begin at the Cathedral with the famous Dome by Brunelleschi and the gold "Paradise" doors of the Baptistery. You will see elegant palaces, pass some fashionable shops, and walk through the charming narrow medieval streets. Continue on to Piazza Signoria, which has been the political complex of Florence since the 1300's when Florence was considered the richest city in Europe. Discover Siena & San Gimignano

A full day excursion to two of the medieval jewels of Tuscany, Siena and San Gimignano. Together with Florence and Pisa, Siena is one of the leading art cities in Tuscany. This city has managed to preserve its medieval character completely. You begin your visit to San Domenico, a church much frequented for its venerated relics of Saint Catherine, patron saint of Italy and Europe. Then, you will head for the magnificent palace, Monte dei Paschi Bank, which was founded in 1472 and is the oldest bank in Europe. From there, visit nearby Piazza del Campo, the unrivalled center of vivid city life. Here, your guide explains the Palio, Siena's breathtaking bareback horse race. With a stop at the Chigi-Saracini Palace, you finally reach the Duomo, with its marble pavement made with a startling sequence of 56 marble panels. After some free time in Siena your tour continues to San Gimignano. The town's 14 remaining towers visible from a distance, makes the town a remarkable sight. It is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Tuscany. You will have time to explore on your own. Walk through the wonderfully preserved town square at the Piazza della Cisterna and visit the 13th century town hall - the Palazzo del Popolo. There are great views from the Rocca citadel and the entire town is an excellent place to stroll and soak up the atmosphere.

Or a full day in Montepulciano

A full day excursion with a private driver and car to the town of Montepulciano. Montepulciano is an ancient fortified town, famous for its antique cafes that, in a not too distant past, were the meeting places for many artists from all over the world. Within this atmosphere, steeped richly in history. You will have time to visit this town whose artistic and architectural beauty is often underestimated. Montepulciano is also the home of the "Nobile" wine one of the most prized wines of italy. Walking along its alleyways and streets you will smell the wine aroma all around. In 1291 furnaces were banned from Venice and therefore the glassware manufacturers were relocated on the Island of Murano. Glassware was an important Venetian export and the glass artisans enjoyed a privileged life and were allowed to marry into the nobility. You will be able to see the beautiful works that are still being created today in Murano on your visit to one of the workshops. Next you will visit the Island of Burano with its beautiful brightly painted houses. The island is known for its exquisite lace making. You will have time to explore the many workshops. Your English speaking driver will pick you up from the hotel this morning for your full day excursion along the breathtaking Amalfi coastline. During this leisurely day you will make stops in the delightful towns nestled in its bays: Positano, an elegant and colorful town with a history of attracting celebrities and artists; Amalfi, a picturesque seaside resort that is also the largest town on the coast; and Ravello, the highest town on the coast where the photo opportunities are unmatchable. You will have many chances to take beautiful photos of the spectacular views and to visit each of the quaint towns. Capri, the island for lovers...Enjoy a wonderful day on the bustling and scenic Island of Capri. Take in the breathtaking views of the blue waters of the Bay of Naples. Together with your private guide, you will be transferred to the pier where you will board the ferry across the Bay of Naples. Upon arrival at the Marina Grande you will take the Funicular to Capri. From here with a private car, visit the highest point on the Island for a panoramic view. Continue to Anacapri where you will see the fabulous Villa of Dr. Axel Munthe, a Swedish doctor, whose best selling book "Story of San Michele" tells of his time on Capri. His villa was built with the remains of Roman ruins. There is a beautiful shady garden with a terrace offering a splendid view of the island. The Ancient city of Pompeii

This morning your driver will meet you for your half-day excursion to Pompeii. You will meet your private local guide at the archeological park for your tour of the ruins. Pompeii holds an intense fascination for visitors today. It lay buried and forgotten for hundreds of years following the eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 A.D. The excavations that began in the 18th century are still being carried out today, unearthing archeological treasures that place this town high on the list of the Wonders of the World. Your guide will take you slowly through some of the ancient streets of Pompeii, where you can see Baths, Forums and Villas built by the prosperous Romans in the year 80 B.C. Marvel at the fabulously preserved frescoes which adorn the walls and floors of the villas. Even if your interests do not lie in history, this is an archaeological site that cannot fail to impress you. After the tour you will have time for lunch and free time on your own in the city of Pompeii before returning to your accommodations.
